NKL Contactlenzen, founded in 1974, is a manufacturer of hard contact lenses. Based in Emmen, the company produces and supplies not only hard lenses, but also soft custom lenses and night lenses. As a subsidiary of Menicon, they have also been distributing soft disposable lenses and contact lens solution since 2006. Menicon is a Japanese firm active across the world, and is a leading developer of lens materials, lens design and contact lens solutions.
